Professional Clinical Counselor
Marielle is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor and native Texan. She began her mental health service to children and families in 2018, driven by a commitment to providing effective care to those in need. She specializes in treating clients with anxiety, mood disorders, autism, anger management challenges, ADHD, self-esteem issues, and body image concerns. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Marielle connects with a diverse range of clients, offering accessible and inclusive care. Utilizing evidence-based practices, she tailors her practice to each family’s unique needs. She strives to help children and families feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
Prior to joining Cortica, she worked with children of all ages in settings including schools, community centers, and clinical practice. Her work focused on providing therapy to individual and family therapy in addition to group therapy to build interpersonal skills and promote self-regulation. Marielle earned her bachelor’s degree in human development and family sciences with a focus in early childhood from the University of Texas at Austin. She then completed her master’s degree in counseling from the University of Houston. In her free time, she enjoys outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.
