Dr. Mikle is deeply passionate about supporting children and families navigating ADHD, ADD, neurodivergence, and other mental health needs. She operates from a strengths-based perspective, firmly believing that every child has unique abilities, gifts, and limitless potential. Dr. Mikle incorporates a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and anger management strategies to empower children and their families to overcome barriers, build resilience, and achieve meaningful progress.

Dr. Mikle began her social work career in 2006 after graduating from Baylor University. She earned a Master’s degree in Program Planning and Administration at Our Lady of the Lake University and completed her Doctorate in Social Work at the University of Texas. With a primary focus in Social Work-Marriage and Family Therapy, Dr. Mikle brings over a decade of experience specializing in pediatric mental health, trauma, chronic/medical illness interventions, nephrology, and culturally responsive approaches for individuals, couples, and families. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Mikle prioritizes self-care and enjoys maintaining an active family
