Sheilajane Cincotta, DNP, APRN-BC
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Sheilajane Cincotta is a doctoral-prepared nurse practitioner driven by evidence-based practice and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. With over 14 years of experience caring for the newborn population at Boston Medical Center, she has also supported families navigating feeding difficulties. During her tenure, she was promoted to Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine, teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Expanding her expertise to older children, Dr. Cincotta transitioned to primary care, treating patients up to age 26. There, she honed her skills in caring for neurodivergent children and young adults under expert mentorship. Her holistic approach recognizes each child’s unique eco- and biosystem, guiding her to find tailored interventions for optimal outcomes. Throughout her career, she has advocated for children and families, inspired future clinicians, and fostered meaningful connections.
Dr. Cincotta earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Stonehill College, her Master’s in Nursing (magna cum laude) from MGH Institute of Health Professions, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (magna cum laude) from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Outside of work, she enjoys relaxing with her family, watching movies, playing board games, and exploring new destinations through travel.
