Surabhi Kaul, MD
Pediatric Neurologist
Dr. Surabhi Kaul is a board certified pediatric neurologist with a special interest in autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. She was born and raised in India and attended Padmashree Dr. D.Y.Patil Medical College in Mumbai. She then completed her Pediatric Neurology residency at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she spent the final year of her training as a LEND (Leadership Education in Autism and Neurodevelopmental disorders) fellow. In addition to her clinical training, she also has a Master's in Public Health (MPH).
After her robust training in Houston, she moved to the Midwest, where she worked in a medically underserved area in Northern Iowa. The majority of her clinical focus and advocacy efforts in Iowa involved early diagnostic evaluations and services for patients and families with autism spectrum disorder. Keeping her passion for this population alive, she was involved as a volunteer grass root advocacy ambassador for Autism Speaks. She has presented her work at various national and international conferences and continues to do so.
Dr. Kaul is very excited at the prospect of contributing her knowledge and expertise to the unique mission of providing comprehensive care for autism and other neurodevelopmental differences at Cortica. She believes in educating and empowering patients and their families with knowledge that can lead them to better manage their health conditions. Dr. Kaul will continue her advocacy efforts and enthusiasm for autism education in her current role at Cortica. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading books, and spending time with her family.
